The Annapurna Circuit is widely regarded as one of the most spectacular long-distance treks on the planet. Circumnavigating the entire Annapurna massif, this journey takes you through an astonishing variety of landscapes — from lush subtropical forests to high alpine deserts — all framed by some of the most dramatic mountain scenery on Earth.

The circuit crosses the Thorong La Pass at 5,416 meters, one of the world's highest trekking passes, offering breathtaking panoramic views of Annapurna I (8,091m), Dhaulagiri (8,167m), and dozens of other peaks. Along the way, you'll pass through traditional Gurung, Manangi, and Thakali villages, visit ancient monasteries, and experience the warm hospitality of the Nepalese highlands.

Day 1
Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400m)
✈️ Arrival Day🏨 Hotel in Kathmandu
Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport where you'll be welcomed by your Trekkership guide. Transfer to your hotel in Thamel, the vibrant tourist hub of Kathmandu. Evening welcome dinner with the group and trek briefing covering gear, safety, and what to expect.

Day 2
Kathmandu to Besisahar – Drive (760m)
🚌 7-8 hrs drive🏨 Guesthouse
Early morning bus or private jeep to Besisahar, the official start of the Annapurna Circuit. Enjoy the scenic drive through Nepal's green middle hills. Overnight in Besisahar, register trekking permits and ACAP passes.

Day 3
Besisahar to Bahundanda (1,310m)

Begin the trek proper, following the Marsyangdi River valley through rice paddies, banana groves, and small Gurung villages. A relatively easy introduction day to get your legs warmed up.

Day 4
Bahundanda to Chame (2,710m)

The trail climbs steadily through lush forests of oak, maple, and pine, crossing several suspension bridges. First views of the Annapurna range appear. Chame is the district headquarters of Manang, a lively town with good facilities.

Day 5
Chame to Pisang (3,200m)

Dramatic scenery begins as the valley narrows and cliffs tower overhead. Pass through apple orchards and pine forests before reaching Upper Pisang, which offers stunning views of Annapurna II and Pisang Peak (6,091m).

Day 6
Pisang to Manang (3,519m)
🥾 5-6 hrs trekking📏 ~18 km🏨 Tea House
Route options via Upper or Lower Pisang. The upper route offers spectacular ridge walking with views of Annapurna III, Gangapurna, and Tilicho Peak. Manang is a major acclimatization village with a Himalayan Rescue Association clinic.

Day 7
Acclimatization Day in Manang (3,519m)
🏔️ Rest Day🥾 Short hike to Gangapurna Lake
A crucial rest and acclimatization day. Guided hike up to Gangapurna Lake and Tilicho Base Camp viewpoint for stunning glacier views. Visit the local monastery and learn about the unique culture of the high Himalayan people. AMS prevention briefing from our guide.

Day 8
Manang to High Camp / Thorong Phedi (4,450m)
🥾 4-5 hrs trekking📏 ~10 km🏨 Tea House
Short but important ascent to High Camp at the base of the Thorong La. The landscape becomes increasingly barren and dramatic. Early dinner and very early sleep in preparation for the big pass crossing tomorrow.

Day 9
Cross Thorong La Pass → Muktinath (3,760m)
🥾 7-9 hrs trekking⛰️ 5,416m Summit🏨 Tea House
The biggest day of the entire circuit. Pre-dawn start (3–4am) to cross the legendary Thorong La Pass at 5,416m before afternoon winds. The summit offers jaw-dropping 360° views. Steep descent to the sacred Muktinath Temple — a huge achievement celebrated with the group.

Day 10
Muktinath to Kagbeni (2,810m)
🥾 3-4 hrs trekking📏 ~11 km🏨 Tea House
Explore the sacred Muktinath temple complex in the morning, a place of pilgrimage for both Hindus and Buddhists. Descend through dramatic Tibetan-influenced landscapes to the medieval walled village of Kagbeni, gateway to Upper Mustang.

Day 11
Kagbeni to Marpha (2,670m)

Walk through the dramatic Kali Gandaki Gorge — the world's deepest gorge — flanked by Annapurna and Dhaulagiri. Stop in Jomsom for lunch before continuing to Marpha, famous for its apple orchards, cider, and apple brandy.

Day 12
Marpha to Tatopani (1,190m)

A long descent day through Tukuche and Kobang, back into lush green forests. Tatopani (meaning "hot water") is famous for its natural hot springs — a perfect reward for weary muscles after the hardest days of the trek.

Day 13
Tatopani to Ghorepani – Poon Hill Sunrise (2,860m)
🥾 5-6 hrs trekking⭐ Poon Hill Sunrise🏨 Tea House
Steep climb back up to Ghorepani through magnificent rhododendron forests (spectacular in March–April when in bloom). Pre-dawn hike to Poon Hill viewpoint (3,210m) for arguably the best sunrise view of the Annapurna range anywhere on the circuit.

Day 14
Trek Out → Drive to Pokhara → Kathmandu
🥾 3-4 hrs🚌 Drive to Pokhara✈️ Fly Kathmandu
Final descent to Nayapul and drive to Pokhara. Afternoon free to explore Pokhara's lakeside. Optional scenic 30-min flight or 6-hour bus back to Kathmandu. Celebratory farewell dinner with the group in the evening.
